My positive attitude; I have always been a very positive person and I will go as far as saying I’m allergic to chronic negativity, simply because I don’t see the point – at least try to have a positive outlook on life. I always try my best to think in an optimistic way, try to look for good solutions, expect good results and success, and focus on making life happier. I’m for the most part a happy person and I try to live a worry-free state of mind, who always looks on the bright side of life. To me, negative people are energy-draining.
I’m supportive of others; “The best possible thing you can get out of a relationship is that you’re with someone who encourages you to be the best version of yourself every day” – Nishan Panwar. This is so true and counts for your significant other as well as your friends. I’m always supportive of others and try my very best to encourage everyone to be the best version of themselves. It’s important to be present if you are needed (listen, talk, give advice), to be a person you can count on, and a person who’s cheering for others success and achievements.
I’m very open-minded; I have always been a very open-minded person, but it was definitely reinforced after living abroad for 4 years. Living in a different country where I knew no one and everything was new to me, it definitely forced me out of my comfort zone. Being open-minded to new things and meeting new people is an essential skill to have, both in life and professorially. I love meeting new people, I always try to include everyone and make everybody feel welcome, and I’m always interested in trying and learning new things.
My determination; Determination is important if you want to go somewhere, whether it’s in life, financially, academically, professionally or personally. Determination is important because it enables us to persist the face of difficulties, overcome obstacles, and it makes us creative and imaginative. If I set myself a goal, I will put in the effort needed to reach that goal. In the end it might not be the desired outcome/result, but at least I’m determined to do my very best. Determination = the key to success.
My appreciation for the little things; I have learned the importance of appreciating the little things in daily life, whether it’s going for a walk outside in fresh air, meeting a good friend for coffee, or visit someplace new nearby. I try to focus my attention on what nurtures and sustains me in life, basically everything that brings me the smallest amount of joy. I’m very grateful to live the life I’m living right now.
That I’m 100 % confident in myself; I have always been very comfortable in my own skin, I know who I am and what I stand for. I know I can do anything I put my mind into and I’m a firm believer that we can all achieve great things in life as long as we work hard and are dedicated enough.
My loyalty; If I’m your friend, I’m a real friend. I will always keep in touch with you at all times, whether it’s giving you a call, text you, or sending a snap. I will always take the initiative to invite you somewhere, whether it’s to coffee, a night out on the town or maybe do a fun activity together. If I consider you a true friend, I will put you as a priority and I will care for you. Sometimes it will take some time before I answer you, but I will always get back to you. I will always support you, encourage you to be the best, and I will always have your back.
My dreams and ambitions; I have always been a “dreamer” and had ambitions from a very young age. As a very young girl I once told my parents “One day, I’ll live in America”, like it was destined for me from the beginning. I worked really hard to get accepted into college in the U.S. and the Netherlands, which are some of my greatest accomplishments. One of my top ambitions right now, is to grow this blog and provide inspiring content to my readers – thank you all for reading!
What do you like about yourself? Now is the time to brag! 😀
